Gerald Westcott has lived at Quicks Farm, a beef and sheep farm for 50 years. He began working on the family farm after school. James, Gerald son looks to follow in his father’s footsteps having just completed his foundation degree in agricultural management. James is keen to develop the sheep farming element of the farm.
The funding from REAL Devon allowed this sheep farmer with over 650 Ewes and growing to invest in a new mobile handling system to enable them to manage flocks at different locations and an EID reader and recorder will help them to monitor the large and increasing Ewe flock.
